Inserting RSS Feed Error: WP HTTP Error: couldn't connect to host Please Help!

  • In short I want to import an RSS feed into a sidebar plugin.

    The feed is hosted by another site. The link works, I am able to subscribe to it. Here is the link:
    https://207.172.212.182:3000/xml/program_schedule_feed

    The problem is when I insert this feed it says RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: couldn’t connect to host.

    What do I need to import this feed? Is it really an issue on there side? RSS is a little out of my normal scope, any help would be SO appreciated! Thank you!

  • This is a server configuration issue – sometimes caused by a failure to compile PHP with cUrl. Contact your hosts about it.
