inserting pdf document into post

Hi,
I need to put pdf document in my post. Not a link but the document for preview. When I am doing it in word the formatting goes for a toss. And putting a link of it doesn’t show the document but just link of it to download. Tried pdf and ppt viewer plugin, but for some reason it’s not showing up.
