    • No, the Yoast SEO doesn’t have a feature to add the description of cornerstone content and links to cornerstone content at the bottom of each individual post, tag archives, and taxonomies pages.
    • We’re unable to confirm whether the provided 3rd party plugins can help to add description to the individual cornerstone pages

However, we thanks for suggesting a new feature for our plugin! We’re actively using the bug tracking on our GitHub repository so your best next step would be to create a new feature request for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You can create a new issue to submit your feature request. You will need an account to create one.

Don’t forget to include the URL to this conversation in your feature request!

Although suggesting this for inclusion as a new feature in the Yoast SEO plugin is helpful, it does not address the current need.

So, how are Yoast SEO users solving this issue today? Are they customizing their themes? Or are they using a specific plugin?

Can you please explain how one goes about adding the description of cornerstone content and links to cornerstone content in individual posts and archive pages with the current version of Yoast SEO?

    Sincerely,
    Melissa

    Hi Melissa,

Thanks for the response. Let us clarify. Yoast SEO Premium has a special tool called Internal Linking. You can learn more about that tool here: https://yoast.com/yoast-seo-4-0/. This premium plugin appears to match most of what you need. We say this as the tool will scan all your posts/pages and suggest articles to add (including cornerstone content articles). You can then copy and paste that suggested article into the WordPress Editor on a post/page.

In this manner, you would be able to add a link to cornerstone content on individual pages/posts AND depending how you add it it will show a description in a “card” like format. See image: https://pasteboard.co/GHiFS1C.png.

There are two exceptions to the tool:
    A. This tool is that it does not work on archive pages or tag pages or category pages. The tool will only output suggest post/pages to link to.

    B. This tool will only work in adding links into the WordPress Editor area. It is not able to add links into the footer of your page or a widget. The links must be added into that editor area.

You can learn more about the Yoast SEO Premium plugin including how to purchase it here: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/.?
