Inserting images now a problem

  • Hi

    Nothing has changed in the site except the upgrade to 3.0.4 – cannot now include images in posts or on pages.

    I’ve looked back in the forum and most of the queries on this sort of issue were a couple of years ago – so it seems strange I have it with 3.0.4.

    You can load the image onto the page – it all looks OK – hit “Publish” and it takes you to the public home page.

    I’ve disabled all plugins, gone back to default theme but still cannot get it to work…

    Any ideas please???

  • Have you tried:

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?

    Many thanks Esmi – I thought one of your suggestions would crack this ??

    Sadly no…

    As soon as you add an image on to post or page and hit Publish it takes you to the About page (public view)

    I’ve worked through your recommendations and after each one, I’ve gone back to Twenty Ten just to make sure it’s not a theme problem – but it’s a theme (AB from David Pankhurst) I use on many other sites with the same plugins…

    Any other ideas appreciated

    Going round and round with this one…..

    A little more info may help…

    The image gets posted on the post/page OK. When you enter a title, the 404 page displays fully beneath the word “Path” (bottom left of the post screen)

    I’ve changed the page that acts as the 404 but still no difference.

    Help!
