Inserting images in reverse order?

Any help would be appreciated! I need to do batch inserting of images but WordPress keeps putting them in reverse order when inserted into a post.

e.g. My images are named like
image 1, image 2, image 3

but WordPress inserts them as
image 3, image 2, image 1

I’ve even tried using Faster Image Insert Plugin and reversing the order manually and it still comes out with the last image (image 16) at the top.

*It is inserted in the right order if I insert it straight away from uploading. The order is only reversed when I am inserting previously uploaded images from the Media Library.
