• Got a question about the image insertion box on WP 2. (BTW, this is the feature that got me to upgrade ?? ).

I’d like to insert the full size image, and select ‘Use Fullsize’ from the pop up prior to ‘Send to Editor’, but it always inserts the height and width dimensions from the thumbnail, not the fullsize image. It’s easy enough to go back and remove the dimensions, but it seems like an extra step. Plus, it would be better if it would insert the dimensions from the fullsize image so page load was cleaner.

Is there a way to make it do this, either omit the dimensions or use the fullsize dimensions instead?

  • There are a lot of posts about this…
Anyway, when you tell the program to use the “original” actually it does upload the original file, just re-sizing its pixels (not the KB file size!).
In the RTE you can click on the image and just drag the corners to fit to your liking.

(It was said this small size image to the text area will prevent users putting there a huge image that would mess up the admin panel. Don’t argue with me about it… I am just quoting others ??

I’m not using one of the RTEs, so I don’t have that option.

I suppose I’ll just keep removing the dimensions like I’ve been doing. Thanks…

    (And I really did search, I promise ?? )
