inserting HTML into post (youtube)

I don’t include video in a post often enough to justify installing something specially for it. Isn’t there a way of doing it without having to install something else? I just want to be able to copy and paste HTML into WordPress without it going in altering what I manually put in.

Got it, just turned off the Rich editor in the preferences for my account…

Installing a plugin is an easy solution. It’s the normal way of extending WordPress to do things it doesn’t do “out of the box”.

If you want to do things the hard way, make sure you’re not using the WYSIWYG editor. Pasting code will generally work that way.

Thanks warpdesign, you saved my day; I was almost going to install a plugin just to insert a single youtube clips. Just turning off the Rich Editor makes it lot easier and saves the confusion.
