Inserting header banner ad in baskerville theme

Wondering if anyone can help me with this. I’m trying to get an OIO ad zone inserted into my header space in the Baskerville theme. I’ve managed to do that, but the padding surrounding the ad zone is white when it should be graphite like the rest of the header.
Anyone have thoughts on how to fix this?
