• Hi-
I’m a new member, so please let me knoe if this has been answered before.
    I have a website https://www.nyc-architecture.com
that has about 1000 individual pages on different New York buildings. I would like to add an area to the bottom of each page to allow readers to leave comments on individual buildings, hence about a thousand different comments areas. (I use Frontpage and was wondering if it was possible just to put code in the base of the common borders, or if i would have to paste it individually into each page).
I saw a good example of a comments area at https://www.bluejake.com/archives/2004/10/26/jumel_mansion_and_sylvan_terrace.php
I expect that this is a photo blog.
Can anybody help me here? I haven’t had much luck finding an answer. Thanks a bunch, Tom.

  • 1. WordPress wouldn’t work in .html pages.
    2. I don’t know of any method where the “comments” part can be taken out from WP and used somewhere else. Though I might be wrong.
    3. I have to admit the pictures are great on your site, but the size of the pages with ALL those pictures in one place… a real PITA when it comes to download.

Except if he make php pages and then mode_rewrite to change to .html ?

You know what, chaaban? I’ll leave it for you to make the html files made by Frontpage into .php files, LOL

    well …. batch ?

first step change all .html to .php (1 command line in MS-DOS)

and if if if if his document are in well formed he can add (using some batch program also a header and a footer )

    example : change <html> by <?php echo <<< End_Echo <html>

    and </html> by : </html> End_Echo ; ?>

you know what lol , i have a homework for tomorow and usualy when i have a homework i can do evrything except doing my homework ??

sorry just ignore my answer … ??

Single biggest problem here? Using frontpage…. so MUCH extraneous, useless, crap code….

[Ah…. yes. I DO know whereof I speak; I spend a great deal of time “un-frontpaging” sites – for very good money, I might add….]
