I have two issues. The first is that in one of my text boxes I have a red line and two half-triangles, with text that says “Insert Paragraph Here.” I don’t want to insert any text at that point. I tried hitting enter and that didn’t make the markings go away. I have not posted the page yet on my blog, but the markings do show up on my page preview. How can I get rid of this? I googled the issue and found posts about a plugin called Magicline, but I have no such plugin.

Second, when I go back into my saved draft, some paragraph returns disappear each time. They look fine in my preview, and I always save. But text I want to make 3 separate line keep reverting back to one line. How can I keep the formatting as I saved it?

    Thanks!

If the red triangles are in the editor that is just a formatting option, you do not have to insert a paragraph it is just a option. If in your WordPress page then the inline editor may have not closed correctly and you will need to delete the object in the layers menu. Please let me know, so I can check the code for a problem.

    Second

Do you open the WordPress Editor or do any editing in it on the page?
The WordPress editor is generally set up for someone that knows little about formatting and it tries to auto format pages, (add or remove paragraphs).

Its called WordPress auto paragraph, We turn of the option but some users still say they have a problem with it changing the paragraphs some users have no problems. We do not have a fix because we have not been able reproduce the error to find a problem.

All right. I’m not sure about the page, since it’s not live yet, but as I said, the red triangles were in my preview. So I ended up deleting that layer and redoing it. Thankfully it was only a paragraph. Looks fine now.

I’m not sure what you mean by opening the WordPress Editor. I do go to the page I’m working on through my normal Pages tab, but the only thing I do from there is save. Is there another way to reach my page, or should I only be saving in the PlugNEdit page? I was reading this: “Do not forget to click Publish or Update after editing the page,” as a directive to save each time. But I think you’re saying I shouldn’t do that? I should just save on the PlugNEdit page and then get out of the Editor? I will try that with this specific formatting problem and see if it works. Thanks!

No, that didn’t work. Nothing saved at all. So how am I supposed to save my changes without using the WordPress Editor?

Okay, digging a little farther, I discovered that through the Page Builder tab, if I scroll way down, there is a button that says ‘Create New Page.” I guess this is where I am supposed to start. Unfortunately, I have done MANY hours of work through the WordPress Editor. Is there a way to copy and paste from the page I already have, or import it?

I would have found it very helpful to have some documentation that would give me this information up front. Although in general the plugin is easy to use, expecting non-techies just to figure everything out without any instructions is a stretch for many of us. I end up ditching a lot of plugins for just this reason.

    HI

You should always click the publish button, I am speaking about the button below the preview when you create a page in the PNE editor that says “”Show WordPress Editor” WordPress editor uses auto formatting and may distort your page”. That button causes some of the paragraph issues. The help files we have are located in the main menu of the editor, they are videos.

The page builder section is only for building pages outside of your WordPress site, many people use it for splash pages or personal pages when they want to design a page without a theme.

It is a pretty robust editor with lots of options, however it is a free service that I do my best to support.

No, I am not touching that button. What I ended up doing is creating a separate text box for each paragraph, because line breaks don’t work. A little tedious for the page I want to build. But it’s a work around. Thanks for your help!
