Insert multiple thumbnails at once

So basically I want to know if there is a way after I’ve uploaded a group of images, using the add image tool, to insert them into my post as thumbnails instead of having to add them individually by with the 4 button presses it takes now and the lag time for the menus to open.

I’m already aware of the gallery but it doesn’t work very often and even if it did it wouldn’t work for what I need as I can only display 3 images at a time before I need the more page break line.

Ideally what I’d like is basically the internal add/insert image tool that is there now but with a check box so I can select multiple images at a time to insert. So any ideas on how I can do this?
