Insert More tag issue

  • Hello WordPress gurus!

    I’m having a problem with the “Insert More tag”.
    When I insert the tag and if you press the “More” link in the post in the frontend, the text gets messed up.

    Example: All the ” signs, gets messed up in some weird code.
    Anyone knows a solution? Because I kinda need to use the “More” function.

    Ok, I made some screenshots, because I don’t want it to stay on the site ??

    With the ‘MORE’ button: Photo 1
    With the ‘MORE’ button clicked: Photo 2
    Without the ‘MORE’ button: Photo 3

    I’m sorry but screenshots don’t help. People really need to see the pages themselves so that they can examine the markup and CSS.
