Insert media not working

    I cannot insert media in the text editor. I am running WP 4.0 and latest versions of my framework and theme.

    I have tried working through all the usual troubleshooting steps. And, I have completed a manual re-install of WP 4.0 (using the Extended version directions).

    By the way, I also cannot toggle between Visual and Text in the editor.

    does the issue go away with Twenty Fourteen and ALL plugins off?

    No. The issue did not go away using any of the usual and recommended trouble-shooting steps.

    However, the issue resolved when I followed this piece of advice I found in the forums here, posted in response to someone else with same problem:

    I edited wp-config.php and added define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);

    This fixed my problem with “insert media”.

    Working on another issue now: inserting links not working. I will start another thread.
