Aloha, when I’m editing post in visual mode, Link icon only goes live if I highlight a space or text. Insert Link box appears, I enter url & text, click Add Insert, and edit mode closes, I’m back to Posts Page. I try again, enter url & text, click Add Insert, and box appears saying if I leave page, edits will be lost. Makes no difference if, “open link on new page,” is checked or not.
Noticed tags were not saved last post. Entered tags & clicked Add, clicked Preview, no tags. Entered tags & clicked Add, clicked Update, got message Updated, but no tags.
Changes since these functions last worked:
    Updated version 3.2.1 to 3.4.2
    Added JetPack
    Added WP Include
    Enabled XML-RPC
    Added DropBox
Also, under Settings, Share function not working, I can’t drag any icons to active area.
Thanks for any help you can give.
    Julianne

Uhm .. Aloha (although Detroit is pretty far from Hawaii … we just say “Hey!” here … hehe). Just some personal advice. Don’t go crazy on the tags; 1 is enough, 2 at most (would have to explain why and go deep into an SEO explanation). As far as the rest of your question …

    Get a WYSIWYG editor:
For a better editor that gives a bevy of more options and works, my advice would be to install TinyMCE Advanced — a popular WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor that millions of people use — including myself, on all of my domains. Simple as pie; just upload it … tweak the settings (settings >> TinyMCE Advanced) if you desire – it’s easy – and you’re good to go. Now when you go to add/edit a post/page, it will be much easier, as you’ll see.

    Sharing Plugins
Regarding just about everything, I don’t use Jetpack for anything on any of my domains. There are zillions of sharing plugins out there. Some of the more popular ones off the top of my head are Sharaholic, ShareThis, AddThis, …. here’s this guy’s opinion on his 10 favorite WordPress Sharing plugins.

Just go to your wp-admin >> plugins >> add new >> in the search box, type the one you’re looking for, and install it. If you don’t like it, then deactivate it, delete it, and try another one until you’re satisfied. Personally, I prefer sharing plugins that also include an e-mail share option. Sharaholic (aka sexybookmarks) … many people like the looks of that, and it has good functionality. The only thing I personally don’t like is that it opens up a new tab/window; some people don’t care about that. Just experiment, and decide what’s best for your needs.
