    hi

Using insert head for Google Anaytics, is it best to activate ‘Only run on site front end’ rather than ‘run everywhere’

So Admin users are not tracked? Or am I wrong and there is other tracking that might be missed without ‘Run everywhere’?

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi @wood1e,

Can you provide an example of the full snippet you’re using?

    Hey @wood1e,

Using Code Snippets, enter the HTML code as noted here and here. Both backend and frontend users will be tracked.

For more granularity, try the plugin “Analytify.” It’s free and allows you to further customize your tracking needs. Oh, and it’s way better than MonsterInsights – especially when you also activate their sister plugin “Analyfity Dashboard Widget.” With Analytify, you won’t need to use Code Snippets.

Please consider closing this topic as “Resolved” once you implement the above.

ok so I need to ‘Run Everywhere’ see here: https://app.screencast.com/xiNC7PlHZfV90

    Hey @wood1e,

No, wrong tab. Use the plugin’s HTML tab to enter your GA tracking code. Look at the screenshots we shared.

    Cheers!

Oh right, I was unaware whenever I last checked online to find out how to insert Tracking Code using Code Snippets the help documents always stated that the <php insert> needed to be used.

    Thanks

Glad it worked for you! If satisfied, can you close this topic as “Resolved”? Thank you!
