• Ok let me start off by saying this is not actually an image uploader question or problem. I started off by having a problem of trying to insert an image into a new post from the admin menu. I went down the list on the sticky thread of image uploader problems and the fix that worked for me was the IE-FIX files re uploaded to my site, clearing my cache, and also adding the NON-FLASH IMAGE UPLOAD PLUGIN. After doing all that I can now see the thumbnails of images in my sites media library when I attempt to insert an image. It shows the image thumb, and to the far right of the line it has the clickable link, SHOW. It now allows me to click on that and it now pulls up the image BUT it does so in a manner where the image is ‘BEHIND’ the list of other images, the list is sort of see thru and you can see the image behind the list of all the images. If you scroll down it now has all the insert image properties like justification, description, link, etc etc it also has a ADD INTO POST BUTTON. You would think its sort of working at this point. WRONG! haha After you do all your properties settings or even if you just leave them alone and hit the add into post button, it adds an image into the post! Just when you think it works, NOPE! haha It adds an image like I said, but it is ALWAYS the FIRST image from that current media gallery page you are on.

    HELP!!!!

Also I forgot to mention that, along with others, when I first uploaded and upgraded to the new 2.5 version from 2.3 the image uploader/image insert worked 100% !!! Then it sort of died! ??

I appreciate any help on the matter

  • I see the same problem with IE6 in WordPress 2.5. After applying the IE fix uploading works fine, but then the next bug pops up

While inserting an image from the Media Library by clicking Show (not a very intuitive way of adding images) in IE a fullsize image is shown overlaying the input boxes for size etc,

Firefox works fine, only a small thumbnail is shown and all fields are easy accessible. So it is an IE problem, showing the whole image and overwriting the buttons and input boxes fields.

Nobody else is seeing this problem?
