“insert image” has stopped working

For three weeks my “insert Image” has worked just fine. Now however, it refuses to insert anything into my posts. I am able to upload an image into the library (though the upload “locks” up with that black screen,,, never comes out of the black screen)… but if you finally close it, and look into the library the image will be there.

But try and insert the image into a post.. and nothing… It just locks up on that “black screen” and stays there… nothing ever gets inserted.

Any ideas? everything else seems to work fin.
