Insert Fixit Tools v1.12 – Image Title & restrict tool

    Thanks again for amazing plugin.
    As i wrote Update/Add/Replace Image figcaption on Post
    With “Insert Fixit Tools v1.12” i use tab “Post/Page Insert Image Tag Attribute Modification”
    Ok… i replaced (or added) an HTML attribute “title for images”
    But sometimes i need to use the “restrict tool”.
    “First Post/Page ID” and “First Attachment ID”, already exist.

    The Admins sometimes need to use “restrict tool” with other parametres
    For example:
    1. By “post publish date” (for example from MM/DD/2020 to MM/DD/2020)
    2. Or update last XX (e.g 15) posts
    3. Or update posts only for one taxonomie/categorie.
    4. Or (this would be amazing) by post inside in post editor (for example with button = “Update Image Title From Media Library”). Please see an example with button

    Thanks and i hope you can add these must optimizes.

    Thanks for your positive feedback and for your suggestions.

    The “MLA Insert Fixit” example plugin was created five years ago in response to a support topic. Since then it has been enhanced piece by piece to accommodate eight additional topics. As you have experienced, it is still a relatively simple collection of ad-hoc tools for specific problems.

    The First Post/Page ID, Last Post/Page ID, First Attachment ID and Last Attachment ID qualifiers (“restrict tools”) give you a simple way to break up the processing into pieces that avoid script timeouts on larger sites. In particular, the First Post/Page ID and Last Post/Page ID qualifiers take advantage of the fact that the “post_parent” value is stored in the database row for each Media Library item. Filtering the queries on the other parameters you listed would require more sophisticated queries including table joins, etc. They would also make the user interface more complex.

    While I agree these are useful features, I regret that I do not have the time required to make the code enhancements they would require. I will keep them in mind for a new version but I cannot commit to working on them in the foreseeable future.

    I regret the news is not more positive but I am marking this topic resolved because I have addressed your suggestions to the best of my ability. Thanks for your understanding and for your continued interest in the plugins.
