    Hi,

this plugin is quite amazing, but i have a huge problem.
when i use Insert Fixit Tools v1.27 in order to Copy ALT Text between Media Library items and Post/Page inserts – i get a critical error:
There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
If i insert a specific post ID it works, no error and the alt text from the media library shows on the attached images in the post, when i use few it most few posts range sometimes it works, when i use big post range or keep it blank, it always shows the error.
the site i work on have few thousands of posts.
i tried the Refresh Caches to rebuild arrays and save in cache for fifteen minutes but it always end up with the same critical error.

    Can you help?

Thanks for your kind words and for your report. I regret that your site is running up against some of the limitations of the MLA Insert Fixit example plugin.

You wrote “I tried the Refresh Caches to rebuild arrays and save in cache for fifteen minutes but it always end up with the same critical error.” Does the refresh operation get the error or does it work but the copy operation still fails?

Have you been able to “Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” Or, can you look at the error log to get more information about the error? You can go to the Settings/Media Library Assistant Debug tab and probably see the error log content. It may contain more specific information about what’s going wrong.

Given the number of posts on your site (and perhaps the number of Media Library items) I would suspect memory limits or script execution time limits might be aborting the process. The “Server” section of the Site Health – Info screen will show you the current PHP Time Limit and PHP Memory Limit values. Increasing one or both values might solve the problem.

You mentioned that entering a post range often works. You could try dividing the task into two or more chunks, e.g., if the highest post ID is 9000 try 0 to 4500 and 4501 to 9000. If the error is caused by a specific post this division can help find which post is the source. I know this can be tedious, but it may be worth the effort for you.

I hope the above suggestions lead to more information about the problem. I will leave this topic unresolved and hope to get an update from you soon. Thanks for your help and for your interest in the plugin(s).
