Insert current date in Contact 7 form

  • How can i display the current date in the body of a Contact 7 from?

    I have a long form and I want it to show today’s date as part of the text in the middle.

    Something like the [_date] Special mail-tag described here: https://contactform7.com/special-mail-tags/

    I’ve tried using PHP snippets and shortcodes as you might in the body of a post but that doesn’t work.

    Any ideas?
