Insert calendar into other page than "Events"??

  • Well.. the question is in the title: how do I insert the calendar into ANY other page than the standard “events” page?

    I’m, of course, running WordPress with my custom theme. In this theme I’m using a page builder, which I’d also like to use for building my calendar page.

    Hence my dilemma: I want to add content using my builder, add my nice calendar and then add some more content.

    How to? …. anyone? :-/

    P.S: yes, I know I can “just” fiddle with the php files and hard code everything ..but that kinda defeats the purpose and the unifom process of using a page builder, so that’s not the option I’m looking for.

  • Hey,

    Under EVENTS in the admin panel select settings.
    The GENERAL tab should be selected by default, if not select it.
    Scroll down to find “Events URL slug”.
    Add the page you want the calendar to display on.
    Scroll down and SAVE.

    There is unfortunately not a simple way to add the “events” page to other places on your site with a shortcode or similar easy-to-use method.

    The thing @solartist mentioned here may help though (and hey, @solartist, thank you for chiming in!).

    The thing with that method is that it keeps your Events page in one spot, it just changes the URL.

    So for example, if you want the events page to just be the same basic thing, but exist at a different URL like /classes or something, you can use the method @solartist described and just change it to be “classes” in stead of “events”.

    If you want, however, to keep the main /events/ page and then also have another page with events like that, then my original answer up top is the accurate one here ?? only complex template stuff would work to get events in multiple places.

    Sorry to disappoint about some these limitations!
