• good day,

not sure if this is a wordpress issue but someone may be able to offer a clue.

i listed my website on a chat forum and when the link is selected a message comes up saying “this page contains insecure content and cannot be accessed”.

is this a website issue or a chat forum issue ?? what can i do to correct this ?

    thanks
    anton

  • this is chat forum issue, remove your chat forum plugin and install other one

    Hi ajcvet,

Are you saying that when you were on a forum site that you shared a link to your website, and, that when people on that forum clicked on your link the “this page contains insecure content and cannot be accessed” message popped up?

    — OR —

Did you install a forum plugin on your WordPress site and am experiencing troubles with that?

@ Liam – the first option. i was on my company chat forum and posted my link. when other people tried to click the link the insecure content message came up. does it when i click the link on the forum too.

    Hi ajcvet,

Is that forum run by your company? If so, can you check with someone there about the issue?

Can you please share the link to your site in this, the WordPress Support forum? That might help us at least compare what happens when the link to your site is shared on another forum.

Is the site https://btpi.co.com? If so, any chance you inadvertently included an ‘s’ in the link, https://btpi.co.com?

    sorry, s[ell check got it wrong. it;

    btpi.co.com

    Hi ajcvet,

The URL that you provided loads easily enough for me when I clicked on the https:// link above.

As aCstudent noted above, clicking on the https:// version of the link will throw a security warning as your site does not have an SSL.

Can you confirm that you’ve entered the link as https://btpi.co.com in your company forum?
