ins datetime not working right?

Hello friends,

I am assuming the ‘ins’ button with the wordpress writing interface is supposed to insert the date and time?

I hit the button and the following code shows up:

<ins datetime=”2005-0-6T21:31:49-5:00″></ins>

but when i post it, it doesnt display anything…

what am i doing wrong here…?
