All users are members of the network. The ROLE they have on each site is what defines them, and if they have no defined role, they are essentially a subscriber.

You really should take time understanding what Multisite does out of the box, and how it works, before you start looking at plugins.

For example, your question suggests that you’re not aware of the relationship between network users and sites.

Allow site admins to automatically add existing users to their site, or let users decide at the click a button.

That’s what it does. A user joins the network but is not a member of a site (they’re psudeo subscribers). The plugin lets them become members of sites.

It’s not ‘better’ than a form, it basically is a form made into a plugin so you don’t have to code it ??
