inputting and activating a content slider

I have added the plugin gogi wordpress plug in to have a content slider on one page. I am working on a draft page so as to practise first rather than on my live pages but I am afraid to go ahead and try things in case it changes the live pages too. Also, not entirely sure what to do to get it live in the page as this is completely new to me. Can anyone assist please?
