• Hello guys,

I’m setting up the plugin in brazilian portuguese language.

    Have 3 major problems:

    1. I can’t edit the input text label so I can have it in portuguese.
    2. The signup process requires a e-mail validation after subscribing, which I don’t want, since it will drag down the subscribing numbers.
    3. Even in nowdays, the verification e-mail sent to the new subscriber is all in english. I want to be able to edit that if it’s not possible to don’t have that kind of confirmation.

    Thanks a lot for helping.

    Regards

    Rodrigo

  • Hi Roderswiss,

Thanks for hopping in the forum. I would be happy to help out here. The labels for the fields and verification emails would be pulled from your MailChimp list. So the fields and forms would need to be translated in your MailChimp account. Here are a couple guides from the MailChimp knowledge base that can help with editing fields and translating the forms/response emails:

Can I translate my signup forms and response emails?: https://eepurl.com/g0BQ

How do I add or edit fields in my list?: https://eepurl.com/gOHW

Currently, the plugin uses the same confirmation process as MailChimp’s default forms which is double opt-in. Subscribers will have to confirm their email address before being added to the list. You might consider using a different integration if you’re trying to create a single opt-in form. Here’s a link to the wufoo integration that has a single opt-in option.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
