Innacurate Page Views

    Hey,

    I have checked with my server provider, and I have found that the metrics of Google Analytics are inaccurate. For example, my pageviews in Google Analytics on 15th February are 7 and on my Siteground are 2720!!!

    I have contacted with SiteGround and they told me that their metrics are more accurate since the clicks are coming directly through their server.

    What is going wrong with Google Analytics? The tracking code in the Site Kit is correct. I have checked it multiple times.

    Thanks for reaching out. From inspecting your site it looks like you’re using another analytics plugin to place your Analytics tracking code, with the below evident in your site source code:

    If you’re using Site Kit to check and compare traffic note that Site Kit pulls the information directly from your Analytics account. You should encounter the same number of visitors at analytics.google.com that you find within your Site Kit Analytics dashboard. Just be sure to check for the same reporting period while also being mindful of any views you may have applied within Site Kit when connecting the Analytics module.

    If you do wish to activate Analytics within Site Kit I’d be happy to check your setup once more if you share your Site Health information privately via this form. I can then guided you through the steps to ensure your Analytics tags are firing as expected while also showing you how to check the Analytics live reporting. While I unaware of how Siteground provides reporting providing all Analytics tags are firing as expected you can check with the product experts at the Analytics Help Center to see if they notice anything strange that may be impacting other Analytics reporting tools, such as your Siteground visits.
