when I post using the inline tweet sharer I get this message above my post when I preview or publish the post:

Warning: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when safe_mode is enabled or an open_basedir is set in /home/p299uu5m/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/inline-tweet-sharer/bitly.php on line 1161

Do I have to disable safemode?

    Thanks!

Hi there, Update on my last question:
I disabled the bit.ly option and I don’t get the warning anymore.

If you have any suggestions as to how I can use the url shortening option with this app, I would greatly appreciate it!

It’s a great app and has the look I want.

    Many thanks!

    Hi Jen,

It’s something to do with your hosting, on how it handles cURL. I’m using the default bit.ly integration which uses cURL. Some hosts have it switched off. There may be a way to bypass it using wp_remote_get and something internal, rather than anything else. It’s a weekend project for me, but for the time being you’ll have to disable bit.ly integration (or see if your hosts will allow non-safe mode cURL).

    Sorry about that!

    Rhys
