Inline pictures

It it possible to place pictures inline with text? When I choose the alignment – left or right- it puts the picture in a new paragraph.

I want to make a directory with the picture of the person on the left and paragraph description on the right …directly to the right not above or below. (150 entries)

I have a table in MSWord and would love to just cut and paste the whole thing, but haven’t figured a way to do that?
