Postman’s test email has an inline image that is loaded from an external source. This makes it compatible with a wider range of email clients.

However, if you want to accomplish traditional inline images, those that are embedded into the email, you can follow this great example:

Wanted to thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, it didn’t really help. Perhaps I should’ve been more clear, too:

I would’ve like the images to be visible by default in ALL if not most popular e-mail clients. Ofcourse I know because of security issues this is probably not possible. But I thought it was worth a try. I’ve given up already because I got tired of seeing it fail every single time for about one day.

Thank you anyways, your plugin is very useful for sending e-mails!

Is there an email client where the image in Postman’s test email does NOT show? I’m not aware of any.

Well, now that you mention it. My Outlook (2010) client doesn’t show it, but Thunderbird does (way to go Thunderbird! :D)

However, in the e-mails I want to send, the user has to accept downloading of product images they put in their wishlist. I don’t think that it is really user-friendly, but I’ve got no other choice now than accepting it at this point since it seems impossible ‘bypass’ security (and it wouldn’t be wise to do so).
