Initial Setup Issues
-
I’ve been using a handbuilt XML feed on this site along with Feedburner. I am trying to switch over to PowerPress to use its feed. I’ve installed PowerPress have entered the initial setup data and added a few podcasts using the entry fields at the bottom of my post pages.
Here’s a podcast post page: https://www.askaboutflyfishing.com/shows/tenkara-today/
One my home page I have this code:

Is this correct?
I added this to the home page header:

Is this correct?
On the ‘Submit Podcast to Apple Podcasts’ page it says my URL is https://www.askaboutflyfishing.com/feed/podcast/; however, that feed does not have the individual podcasts listed. When I use https://www.askaboutflyfishing.com/feed/ it does have the individual podcasts listed. So which one should I use both on the home page as well as other submission places?
My Podcast is currently listed in iTunes. I logged into the iTunes Connect page and put in both of these URLS:
https://www.askaboutflyfishing.com/feed/
https://www.askaboutflyfishing.com/feed/podcastWhen I tried to validate them I get an error saying “Can’t download episodes from your feed. Failed validation.” What is the problem here? I have my audio files hosted on an Amazon S3 server. It has worked fine up to now. Is there a reason I shouldn’t be using Amazon?
Also, when https://podba.se/ to validate it returns this:
Podcasts should have a valid <itunes:summary> tag, or at least a
.
Why am I getting this message?
Also, when I use https://castfeedvalidator.com/ it will not validate the feed
Why won’t Cast Feed Validator work with this feed?
In the PowerPress settings it has a checkbox for “Wrap summary values with
...
tags” Why would I want to do this? Should I do this? Also, in the https://www.askaboutflyfishing.com/feed/ feed I see this:

Ask About Fly Fishing

I don’t see anywhere that I gave info about using a favicon image. Is this generated automatically? Is this correct?
I read about redirecting Feedburner so I know what to do about that, what else do I need to do to make sure everything is working properly?
Thanks for your help,
Roger
