• Hi, I know this is not a direct wordpress question, but would expect to get answer here first.
This is a brand new website. I installed in a subdir /wp/ and then submitted the web site to google webmaster. I had problem with google seeing the site and crawling it, then my hosting site said it was better to move it to root, I re-installed from scratch. but when I authorize the google analytic extension, it says that my installation of wordpress is still in /wp/ subdir. So it is giving headaches, and would like to know where to change the wp reference inside my webmaster tool
    thanks

thanks, but when I went to delete the wp subdir, it had been deleted on the 21st from the website with the https://www., will try again to see if the problem is still there.

My site was registered in the webmaster tool with and without the www. , was not sure which one was needed. It had been removed from the one with the www so now I just removed the url from the one without the www.

Found the remove url menu from the index sub menu, for those who are looking for it and for future references, did not see it before.

Hope all my problems are solved, thanks again

    follow up
I had also asked a local seo guy to give me a hint on my problem, and one other change I had to make is to change the subdir into my google analytics page, the subdir was also left there

Google is smart enough to handle this issue. focus on your development. You must nove your site to root without changing the installation. in that way WordPress give 301 redirect
