Initial Dashboard & main pages have php function errors – screenshots below

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, I tried to find the answer in the previous posts first.

Got WP installed and got into dashboard which is progress! Now my dashboard has a function error and my main page won’t display because of a fatal function error. I took screenshots of these:

It looks like something is missing, however, I just did a fresh install from zipped copy of WP.

Any advice is appreciated!
