inheriting Lightroom keywords to work with Enhanced Media Library Pro

I have installed the PRO version of Enhanced Media Library.

I have a large number of images that we’ll be uploading to our fledgling website in the very near future. These have all been properly keyworded via Lightroom. Many of the files have multiple keywords.

Is there a way, when uploading these to my WP media library, to create corresponding categories in EML Pro, and have the uploaded files get assigned to those categories programmatically? Or if I create the categories first (manually), can uploading the image files then be categorized according to the keywords they already have?

Said differently, when we upload hundreds of JPGs that are already properly keyworded, it looks like I have to manually assign categories in the WP versions of the files, effectively having to keyword these all again.

Is there a way to streamline the upload and categorization process?
