• Resolved presscode

Hello and good day to you ??

I have installed and tested your plugin on presscode.de and set up a simple ribbon-style notification bar.

I have removed the font-family styling via the editor in order to test, if the font will be inherited, which is the preferred behaviour.

As you can see on this site, the standard font is set to “Comic Sans” (only for testing), but the text on the Brave-Popup is set to serif.

Second issue: Currently the visitor has to click on the “Close” icon in order to close it. But it reppears, which will annoy the visitors. How to change this? I find the “Goal” related setting options difficult to understand and apply the appropriate settings. I have set Goal to “Show Information” > Click Element > tried to select the “X” closing button but cannot select this.

Pressing “esc” key and let the visitor click on non-interactive elements on the site (like on text or white space) is another desired behaviour that will hide the popup.

Actually these issues are required in order to use your plugin on my own and my clients sites. I would love to replace Popup-Maker and Thrive Leads with Brave, but cannot with those restrictions.

    Thank you and kind regards,
    Sascha

Sorry to say we cannot by default let the popup inherit styles from the theme or other plugins as the chance of breaking the style increases tremendously. We are already seeing some issues with default WordPress themes that changes the font size, line height etc, which breaks the style of the popup and it makes the popup look different than what you see on the popup editor.

For your case, you can simply, change the font family of your element to Comic Sans.

As for the popup re-appearing issue, Please go to the Popup’s Settings tab from top and scroll down to bottom and first check the last option that says “Do Not Show the Popup again for 30 days if the user closed the popup 2 times” option. Then change the number 2 to 1.

And we will try to implement an option to close the popup on esc button in the next version.

    Thanks

    Sascha,

Sorry to let you know that at the moment, we were not able to add the feature to close the popup on pressing esc becuase it requires user keypress tracking of every key, which may slows down the performance of typing anything on your site.

    Thanks
