    Hello,
I have a few questions and thought it would be better to include all of them at one thread.

    1) Is there a way to have plural for ingredients? The issue is that if the recipe uses 1 onion and the user adjusts servings, it appears as 2 onion (not 2 onions). Is there a setting or something that I missed?

    2) I understand that I can select the preferable method to adjust servings (on hover slider or number field). I can’t figure out how to change this setting.

    3) My ingredient links don’t work. My actual product links are something like https://www.mysite.com/shop/greektext-greektext-400-greektext (where greektext is the product title plus quantity, at this example 400gr). So, when I put the above example link as an ingredient link, what I get in the frontend is https://www.mysite.com/–400- and obviously a 404. What it does is eliminating all greek words from the link. I am not sure why this happens (below I share a couple basic info regarding my wp installation).

I am using WPRM 1.22.0 plus WPRM pro 1.6.0. I use woocommerce and my theme is storefront. My website is in Greek, but I use WPML for future expansion purposes. My site is an ecommerce site, which includes a recipes page.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi there,

    To answer your questions:

    1. Ingredient plurals are still on our todo list.

    2. That can be changed on the WP Recipe Maker > Settings > Premium page.

    3. I’ll have to look into that. Can you give me a specific example of an URL that’s not working?

    Kind regards,
    Brecht

    Hi Brecht,

Thank you for your quick reply!

Regarding the url, I have a test recipe here:
    https://dev.meliory.gr/test-recipe-post-title/

The link of the test ingredient 1 should point here:
    https://dev.meliory.gr/%CF%80%CF%81%CE%BF%CE%B9%CE%BF%CE%BD/%ce%ba%cf%81%ce%af%cf%84%ce%b1%ce%bc%ce%bf-%cf%83%ce%b5-%ce%ac%ce%bb%ce%bc%ce%b7-400-%ce%b3%cf%81/

In Greek, it’s like that: https://dev.meliory.gr/προιον/κρ?ταμο-σε-?λμη-400-γρ/

    Thanks & Regards,

By the way, I also placed the same link at Recipe Notes, and it works fine. The issue is only in the ingredients links.

I’ve been testing this but I cannot seem to replicate the issue. The links are correct wherever I add them.

Could you try disabling all other plugins for a second and see if it works then?

    Hi Brecht,

I am disabling the plugins one by one and try to see where the problem is.
I even put another link at test ingredient 3.
However, I can’t see any effects (not even the second link). I guess it has to do with cache, but I don’t know how to handle this.

Would it be ok for you if I sent you credentials?

You probably would have to add the link again before testing as it might be going wrong when saving.

If you don’t mind me testing things by disabling all other plugins then you can contact us at [email protected]

I added a new test recipe and everything works fine, with all plugins active. Links are working properly and changes are taking effect.

I don’t know why I still can’t make changes in the first test recipe, but I will monitor further the issue and I will let you know if I find anything interesting.

If required, I will contact support and provide credentials. Thank you very much for this option.

By the way, I would be obliged if you could help me understand why I should use NoFollow at the links. Does it have to do something with SEO?

    Thank you very much!

That’s very strange, but happy to hear it’s working now!
Do let us know if you experience any other issues.

Nofollow links are indeed important for SEO reasons. This infographic sums it up quite nicely:

    Hi Brecht,

I have managed to locate and replicate the issue. I has to do with the selection between global link or recipe defined link:

When I use global links, everything is perfect.
When I use recipe defined links, the link eliminates Greek characters.

I published here 2 more test recipes. One with global link selection and one with recipe defined link.

    The first one works fine.
In the second, I put the link https://dev.meliory.gr/το-blog-μα?/ and it transformed it to https://dev.meliory.gr/-blog-/

    I hope this helps.

If you want me to do any further testing on my end, please let me know.

    Thanks & Regards

    Additional info:
In the last test recipe (Test Recipe Defined Link), I tried to change the selection to global and put the links again. It just does not take changes into effect.
In the backend I see the links correct, but in the frontend there is no difference applied.

Are you testing without other plugins now?

I tried both the global and recipe specific links and it works fine in both cases for me.

No, all plugins are up and running.

I understand that further testing is required. I need my dev for a couple of days to setup some other stuff, and then I will test with plugins off or provide you access through your support.

In the meantime, I am sending you now a system report, in case it assists somehow.

    Thanks & Regards
