• We updated the WPCerber plugin on March 26 to 6.5, and have had a number of issues with legitimate visitors being blocked from our site.

At this point, I have determined that the Google Recaptcha and Infusionsoft http requests are being blocked from accessing our site. This is a MAJOR problem. It appears that the Recaptcha is using Ajax to access our site. I’m not sure how Infusionsoft if accessing it, but it sends http requests to our site as part of our membership site.

I have scoured through the forum, and other people have noted ajax errors, and noted that legitimate people are being blocked, though your responses are not very helpful, and pretty much you just tell people to monitor it. You stated how to allow ajax calls, but following your instructions did not resolve the problem. I whitelisted it in 2 spots, and clicked the option to allow Ajax. That still blocked Ajax calls. I have had to turn off WPCerber from monitoring all forms. Which sort of makes it useless to protect from real spammers.

It does appear to be blocking hacks. Or at least at this point I think they are hacks.

I have checked our logs that we have on some form fill outs from another service that we use in addition to WPCerber, and have confirmed that these problems started after updating the plugin to 6.5.

We are close to removing the WPCerber plugin, because if it makes it so we can’t service our paying clients, and we can’t build our mailing list which uses Recaptcha, then it is extremely harmful to us, and will put us out of business.

Please look into this ASAP and fix it.

It really saddens me that there will be a ton of people who have this installed, and are having problems, or losing traffic, and they will not know why.
