    Hi,

i would like to translate a plugin via automatic translation (Deepl or Google) into German informal (Du-Anrede). But some strings were translated into formal German (Sie-Anrede). How can i prevent this?

I found the faq site about filters and actions, but i don’t know how to use these. Can anybody help?

    Thanks and regards

If the target locale is de_DE then Loco Translate will send formality=prefer_less to DeepL. You can verify this in your network console. If you get a formal tone even with this setting, then take it up with their support.

I’m not aware of any formality setting supported by Google Translate v2, so translations will simply be requested for de.

Thank you for your answer. Deepl translates a large part into the informal form. I will have to translate the rest manually.
