    Hi there,

I took a look at your contact form. You’re not using the WP-SpamShield Contact Form, which is why you’re getting all the spam. If you use the one built in with the plugin, it will completely eliminate your contact form spam. The plugin does not protect against contact forms created by other plugins. Please see the instructions on how to install a WP-SpamShield contact form. (There is also a link to this on your WP-SpamShield settings page.)

That will take care of your spam problem.

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for the response. My web designer installed a Gravity Forms plug-in for the contact form. Does yours work in conjunction or are you saying to delete that one and install a new one? Can I insert: spamshieldcontact someone on the existing form??

    Hey,

You’re welcome. Most contact forms don’t work together…you would need to use one or the other. If you want the spam protection, you’ll need to delete your current form, and add the one from WP-SpamShield following the instructions provided. It’s just a matter of placing the shortcode [spamshieldcontact]. The basic form is similar to what you currently have, so users won’t see much of a change, giving you a smooth transition. It will work without any configuration, although you may want to see if any of the configuration settings will be useful to you. Hopefully that helps.
