Infinite Scroll to Override Theme Footer Widget

    Hi

    is it possible with Footer Widgets, the Infinite Scroll to be Active?

    i want the Home page to load posts always, as you scroll down for new posts.

    i use Jetpack plugin , and before i activate the Widgets , was fine.

    You’re right that infinite scroll is automatically deactivated whenever footer widgets are detected by the theme. This is to make sure that the widgets are always accessible for visitors.

    If you remove the widgets from your footer area then infinite scroll will activate again.

    I want to my home page to activate the infinite scroll, including widgets.

    Is this possible? I am using child theme of Dyad.

    Hi @cztaki73,

    It isn’t possible for visitors to your site to access the footer widgets while infinite scroll is enabled, which is why the feature’s automatically disabled as soon as footer widgets are detected.

    Dyad doesn’t provide any area other than the footer for you to add widgets. Creating another area to add widgets to (such as a sidebar) is possible but would require fairly advanced HTML/PHP. (If you’d like to go down this route then information on widgetising themes can be found here.)
