    Hi, Kathryn P:

In your last response to my prior thread about the affect of Infinite Scroll on Twenty Fifteen, you recommended possibly trying Infinite Scroll rather than reducing the number of posts shown on my homepage.

Since I’m trying to increase the homepage speed, wouldn’t using Infinite Scroll be counterproductive? Seems like Infinite Scroll would simply increase the size of my homepage even more, slowing it down even further. What am I missing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @erskine4730 – nope! The point of Infinite Scroll is to load only an initial, limited, set of posts on the page. The number of posts doesn’t increase until clicking “load more posts” or continuing to scroll down. Feel free to test various settings in IS and use the method that works best for your speed goals. ??

I didn’t realize that Infinite Scroll worked the way you describe. Sounds like both basic WordPress and Infinite Scroll permit a choice (setting) of how many posts to load on the homepage, with the difference being that Infinite Scroll also provides this additional “load more posts” button to click? If so, might be worth a try.

    Thank you Kathryn P!
