The problem was solved. It was caused by conflict with another plugin.

I have yet to find a plugin that works to share the selected image from an image gallery so I want to see if this one works before installing it.

Thanks so much for sharing! Unfortunately since I don’t want to log votes on each image, that plugin won’t work. Just need one that will share the specific image to Facebook and LinkedIn. I don’t understand why this is so difficult!

Please let me know if you ever find anything that will work to do this, and I will keep you in the loop if I do track one down!

You can disable the voting in the plugin I mentioned using simple css. I have searched for many days for the plugin that shares single images on social networks. But everytime, the plugins I tried shared the page link with a random image.

I even tried editing .htaccess file. Atlast I came across wp-vote plugin. It solved my problem.

Oh, good to know that the voting can be disabled.

It looks like you can share to Facebook, pinterst and twitter but not LinkedIn with your plugin. LinkedIn is really the most important share for me….do you know if it’s doable with the WP-vote plugin?

Right now, there is no linkedin share feature, but you can contact the plugin author for a little customization.
