    Hi Jeff,

I’m new to WordPress and try your Head Meta Data plugin at the moment. Looked on this forum and have been reading the documentation. It is maybe outdated, because I can’t get my head around placing meta tags on individual pages. I use the latest WordPress with Live Canvas builder and Picostrap Child Theme. I see you’r developing a Pro version of the plugin. When will that be ready and is it priced reasonable? Because I’m surprised being a static webdesigner for 15 years about the pricing for WordPress plugins. For the most basic things you have to pay yearly and no small amounts!

By the way I’m still using your htaccess book! Ha Ha!

    Thanks,

    David

    Hi David,

    Glad to help.

To add meta to individual pages, where exactly in the steps are you getting stuck, and I will try to explain/clarify.

For the pro version, it is on hold for now. When finally released it will be priced similar to our other pro plugins. Note that WP forum rules prohibit any discussion of pro plugins, so feel free to contact us anytime with any further “pro” questions. And of course any questions about the free version are welcome here at www.remarpro.com.

I hope this helps, let me know if I can provide any further information.

    Hi Jeff,

    Thanks for your reply!

When I install the plugin and activate it then choose the meta tags I want to show they appear on all pages, but do not take in account the meta tags that are already there so you get duplicate meta tags. Then when I go to “pages” and click on for example “contact” my contact page opens for editing, but I don’t see a possibility to edit the local meta tags of that particular page. What do I miss?

Hey David, thanks for explaining. It sounds like the custom fields meta panel is not displayed, correct? If so, here is a quick guide on how to enable it. Basically it’s disabled by default, and can be enabled by clicking the settings/preferences for the Edit screen. Once enabled, the custom fields panel will show you all custom fields/meta that are attached to the post. There also is a “Add New” option, where you can add any custom fields (like for HMD plugin, etc.).

Hi Jeff, Thanks for that! I looked for the 3 dots, but don’t see them. I’m using the latest version of WordPress. On what page do I find the 3 dots?

Are you using Classic editor or Gutenberg editor?

Note that I can only help with default WordPress setup. If you are using some plugin or theme that modifies the Edit screen, you will need to ask the provider of the plugin or theme.

Ok Thanks! I am going to do that! I am using: https://www.livecanvas.com with Picostrap child theme.

Yeah just ask them where/how to enable display of the Custom Fields meta panel, they should be able to help you find it.
