    Dear all,

to my footer menu I can either add a page or an individual link. If I add an individual link (e.g. to my general privacy notice valid for all domains and subdomains: https://www.sebastian-zitzmann.de/datenschutzerklaerung/), how can I define that the page opens in a new window after clicking on the footer menu entry?

Thank you in advance for your support.

    Regards, Sebastian

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi, Sebastian.

I’m assuming you’re using the native Menus interface to add items to the menu (the one at Appearance > Menus). When you visit that page, scroll to the top-right of the screen and click the Screen Options tab.

Then make sure that you have the “Link Target” checkbox clicked.

Back in the list of items in your menu, you should now see a checkbox for “Open link in a new tab” for each item.
