Individual blogs = multisite?

hi saw something about that a few months ago;
i think you have to install 1 wordpress for each user.
i now itsn’t nuch help, but i just want to say it’s possible.
just wait, i’m sure someone will give you a better answer.

Thanks very much for the input. However, that’s not quite what I’m looking for.
What I need is an addon that would allow me to give all users on the one single domain site, their own blog/editing tools etc, everything but admin functions.
Each user should be able to enable their blog if they wish, without needing to install any other copies.

There is such a thing for joomla, in fact, it’s a single instance of WP which allows all of the above for users. I’m wanting to use WP as the main site instead of joomla.

Hahaha, the MU version actually seems to do everything that I’m looking for.

Weird that I didn’t read that page first.

Anyhow, the combination I was looking for was WPMU, directory based along with a number of plugins which aren’t MU for the main site.
