Index.php is automatically overwriting with default index.php of fresh wordpress

    My index.php is overwritten by the default index.php of fresh WordPress installation.

    We have not done this! Someone or something has done this. It appears to be a automated process because it has happened at approx. the same time period in both November & December 2014
    It’s a cPanel server and we use Softaculous for installation.

    I have checked the cron job settings, there is only one cron job set for taking the backup of the WordPress by softaculous. Anyone know how this issue happened?
