    Hi

I have set up my own server (apache) on my computer and everyhting is working fine. I can log in, post to the blog and everyhting.

BUT. when i go to the wordpress directory by writing https://localhost/wordpress , the index.php file doesnt load, instead I get a large page with info about all the files in the directory and installing information, among else. Why? Same thing happens in the wp-admin directory. But in other directories I do myself (not in the wordpress directory) index.php files load automatically.

    Thank you in advance

I tried to change the blog url to wordpress/index.php in options in the admin pages. I shouldnt have done that. Now I cant log in anymore and everyhting look mezzy ?? Where can I change it back? So the category is wordpress and not wordpress/index.php. I changed both url:s on the options page…

do you have phpMyAdmin installed? https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

Your initial question would be a good one for an Apache group. Essentially, you need to configure Apache to know that index.php is a default page for the directory.

Everything solved!! I just made a new database, reinstalles with install.php and all problems got solved. Really strange but I guess somethng went wrong during the first wordpress install.
