• Hi, we’re trying to use Jetpack Search in combination with Sensei Pro.

The Sensei lessons content is hidden behind a Woocommerce paywal (Sensei Pro feature). We configured Jetpack Search to the Lesson post type but it does not look like they are getting indexed. We would like Jetpack Search to return results based on this hidden content as well as the (public) titles and excerpts.

Will Jetpack Search be able to index private/hidden content from Sensei Pro?

    Hi Rolf

Lessons behind a paywall are marked private just like a private post or page would be, so they wouldn’t be indexed.

If you have a Sensei Pro license, I’d suggest contacting Sensei support so they can help you test this and submit a feature request if necessary.

Hi @drawmyface thank for explaining. I’ve asked the question at Sensei Pro ??

One follow up question: currently it looks like the Sensei Pro lesson post type is completely ignored even if the Title and Excerpt of these post types is publicly accessible, only the content is hidden until a student is logged in.

Is Jetpack Search ignoring titles and excerpts on purpose as well or is there something wrong on my site?

More info: we have the option “Demander aux moteurs de recherche de ne pas indexer ce site” active while still under development. Could that cause the indexing to fail?

The setting to discourage search engines shouldn’t affect Jetpack Search. It looks like you are having an issue with indexing on this thread:

I’m going to close this thread in favor of that one.
