Indexiert, not sent by sitemap
-
Hi there,
I use the current Yoast SEO and put the sitemap index into search console of Google. I removed all other sitemaps and trusted, the the index is pinged, when a new post appears. The page is actually posting news, so they should be available 20min after posting in google.
Fact is, I cannot find the posts even when I enter the exact title and site URL in Google.
Google Websearch console reports, that it index the post, but it wasn’t sent by the sitemap?? So google is faster than Yoast SEO?
Please explain what’s wrong that the simple challenge of finding a post is solved for this page.
M.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

..one additional issue: When I enter the exact title of the post, Google search 1st result is a linkt to the posts author of my page but it doesn’t list the post itself. Thus, google recognized the author and its posts, but not the post that is listen in Yoast sitemap_posts, published today. That irritates me,
M.
Hello,
Sorry for the trouble. Just to verify, does the error say “Indexed, not submitted in sitemap”? I checked your post sitemap and I can confirm that the sample URL you provided is present.
Please verify.
Hi there, I’m not sure about the English term since Google reports on my side in German. But the expression makes absolutely sense. Agreed, DYL is present tested even Amp version bud not transmitted by side map also Google reports that the site map was analyzed today.
My reaction would be, to add the sitemap_post as well. Indeed it doubles the link of the index side map, but I’d hope that Google realizes the new post earlier.
M.
You asked about the “Indexed, but not submitted in the sitemap” warning that affects certain URLs on your site.
It’s important to note that this is not an error or a warning. This is just a comment from Google that lets you know that they found URLs by crawling your site or the web, without having to find them in the sitemap. It’s also possible that Google either indexed the URLs before they were added to the sitemap or that they found the URLs from third-party links, etc.
Since these pages are for URLs that do not need to appear in search results, you do not need to take any action, Google will eventually remove these URLs and these warnings from Google Search Console.
Note: You do not need to submit individual sitemaps like
post-sitemap.xml
,page-sitemap.xml
. Just submitsitemap_index.xml
.We hope you find this information helpful. Please, let us know if you’ve any further questions.
Hi there,
thanks for the kind word and the mental support, that everything is ok.
Let me try to rephrase my question: is there an easy explanation why I cannot find this post
https://www.wirtschaftspsychologie-heute.de/agil-fuehren-aber-wie/
at google when using
https://www.google.com/search?q=Agil+f%C3%BChren+%E2%80%93+aber+wie%3F&rlz=1C5CHFA_enDE799DE799&oq=Agil+f%C3%BChren+%E2%80%93+aber+wie%3F&aqs=chrome..69i57j35i39.12298j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8OR
Even when I at the “site:” argument in the search, Google returns a Tag or Author page but the original post does not show up in the search results at all. Instead other posts of my blog are listed in the results. It seams the the original post does not exist.
Is this result I have to accept and the optimum Yoast SEO can provide?
M.
We are sorry to hear the relevant page doesn’t exist on the search results. We have tested the relevant page on our end by using the search term
site:wirtschaftspsychologie-heute.de/agil-fuehren-aber-wie/
on Google and see that it’s not appearing. This means Google hasn’t indexed the relevant page yet. So, you can force Google crawler to crawl the relevant page by following the steps given here https://yoast.com/help/fetch-as-googlebot/.
Once the force Google by following the steps given in the relevant knowledge base article, you’ll need to wait. It may take either 24 hours to a few weeks. Once the relevant page is indexed by Google, it will appear in the search results as expected.
We hope this helps!
Hi there,
I think you mentioned the problem in my head in your last message:
This means Google hasn’t indexed the relevant page yet. So, you can force Google crawler to crawl the relevant page by following the steps given here https://yoast.com/help/fetch-as-googlebot/.When I open the web search console it confirms that:
https://www.wirtschaftspsychologie-heute.de/agil-fuehren-aber-wie/[green tick] URL ist auf Google
Wenn keine manuellen Ma?nahmen gegen die URL ergriffen wurden und kein Antrag auf Entfernung gestellt ist, kann sie in den Google-Suchergebnissen mit allen relevanten Verbesserungen erscheinen. Weitere Informationen

Am I Wong that this report of the search console does confirm it is indexed, while even you tell me it is not. There must be an error, either on my system or at Google right?M
… I requested now indexing manually but for my my news blogs I shall need an automatic solution. How will I need to adjust Yoast SEO that it works without manual adjustments?
M.
We are afraid to say that you cannot make anything automatic here. As soon as you publish a new page on your website, Yoast SEO automatically pings the search engines about it. So, it is up to the search engines when to crawl the relevant page and how long it might take for it to be indexed by search engines.
We can confirm that the Yoast SEO plugin is working fine on your website as expected.
We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
Hi there,
I had to take off some days – damn pandemic. Anyhow thanks for your support so far. I am happy Yoast SEO is running correctly on my WordPress.
I check now several posts of the domain https://www.wirtschaftspsychologie-heute.de
and realized that NONE of the posts appear in the search results, when I search for the exact title in google.Even more when I use the exact title and site:www….. operator, the posts won’t show up, although they are indexed.
But, what really strikes me is, that the category page, the tag page, the front page, another newsline page are found with the tiles of my posts. Even the metadata (second line) of my posts are showing correct excerpts of the post I search, so to seams to work. BUT among all results, the canonial URL of the post with this title never, really never appears. No matter what title of the last 10 posts I use.
It really hurts me that in Google News and within the web search another blog (www.mba-journal.de) that lists my RSS feed will be shown as search results.
I understand that from your side the SEO tool works correctly. Can you confirm that it is possible and correct, that google lists all pages where my post is embedded (such as category page, tag page, author page) but never provides the canonial URL or direct link to the post?
All other WordPress I host react different and I wonder if I made something wrong….
