Indexed, not submitted in sitemap Issue?

    Hello team,

    This week, we published a blog post on our website. As per Google search console “URL is on Google” & blog is successfully indexed by Google. But it showing me this (Indexed, not submitted in sitemap) issue under coverage. Please check this image.

    I personally check in our sitemap & found this URL. Please check this image.

    I also found this URL on Google SERP. Please check this image. May I know why GSC is still showing me URL is not available in sitemaps?

    Hi @juanforce

    The images you’ve referenced seem to be loading a 502 error, so we can’t view them.

    However, we understand that https://www.verzdesign.com/cryptocurrency-payment-gateways is receiving a status of ‘indexed, not submitted in sitemap’ from Google Search Console.

    We can verify that it is listed in your sitemap (https://www.verzdesign.com/post-sitemap.xml) and that when doing a SITE: search here, it is indexed in the actual SERPs.

    The status of ‘indexed’, not submitted in sitemap’ shouldn’t be a cause of concern, as you can be sure that that post is indexed. It’s just likely that Google found and crawled that URL through some other means (from another link) and not from your sitemap.     Thank you for your reply. All the images are working fine on my side. Is there any other way to share these image to you? Please guide.

    -> Our team is verified that https://www.verzdesign.com/cryptocurrency-payment-gatewaysis on Google SERP. But my question is why GSC didn’t fetch it from the sitemap? We didn’t have this type of issue previously.

    Hi Michael,

    Finally, Google fixed our issue. Please check this image.
    I’m not sure why your team is unable to solve sitemap issues. Previously our Yoast SEO sitemaps did not update our blog I asked this question. That problem was also solved by Google itself.
